B-Team Finish 2024 on a High
The B team went to the Rolls-Royce club on Thursday the 19th December (last game of 2024) and achieved a 3 to 1 win.
Skott checkmated his opponent, George won material, Stuart played down to a drawn king and pawn ending, while David and his adversary agreed a truce in a cautious middle game.
Wins with white and draws with black, it's another good result.

Derby B now are joint leaders with Burton & Lichfield A, both with 6 wins out of 6 and well clear of the other teams. The two games between these teams are going to be critical, however due to some fixture rearrangements they don’t take place till the 18/03/25 and 28/04/25!. - Kevin)
