Narrow Loss for C-Team
Despite the poor weather, our match on Tuesday (07/01/25) took place against Amber Valley at the Spondon club.
I had a comfortable Samisch Kings Indian. My opponent George missed tactics, dropping a central pawn and a knight, and I won quickly.
Colin agreed an early draw on the bottom board.
Carl fought and achieved a good ending, but got into time trouble and subsequently lost the game.
Matt was hampered on the king side and his opponent Paul gave him a difficult game to record the win for the opposition.
