C-Team Win After “Comedy of Errors” on Top Board
On Tuesday (14/01/25), Derby C were visited by Wirksworth Feathers. Our usual board 1, Carl, was missing, exams being more important than chess. (that might be open to debate! - Kevin :-) )
Shourya won a couple of central pawns early, dominated the position and had a decisive win.
I was experimenting with a new line of the French Exchange, which I totally misplayed, and got into big problems.
Sam, just back from Canada, had a steady attack and a good win.
Matt's game ended with a comedy of errors, Matt coming out on top to win the match.
