D Team Suffer Narrow Loss to Belper E
On Wednesday (12/02/25) , Derby D took another trip to Belper, this time to play their E team.
Tony gained an early win on 4, giving us a good start. However, Garry and I were outplayed on boards 1 and 2 and lost both our games..
It was left to Sam, but with both players in time trouble and lots of pieces still on the board a draw was agreed. Sam continues to maintain his undefeated record in 2025!
The final result was a narrow win for Belper E, leaving Derby D mid-table.
